Dr Hapangama is an Oral Maxillofacial Surgeon who gained his Dental Degree at the University of Dundee, Scotland in 1995. He worked as a Dental Surgeon in various hospitals throughout Scotland and England, gaining his primary Fellowship in Dental Surgery in 1998 from The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, Glasgow.
Dr Hapangama moved to Australia to join his wife in 1999. He commenced working at the John Hunter Hospital, Newcastle as a Registrar in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and completed his Medical degree in 2004 at the University of Newcastle.
Following the completion of his Medical degree Dr Hapangama worked at various Tertiary Hospitals in both NSW and ACT, as an Advanced Trainee in Maxillofacial Surgery to maximise his exposure and management of complex maxillofacial patients. He obtained his Specialist Fellowship in 2008 from the Royal Australian College of Dental Surgeons and joined the Canberra Hospital as a Staff Specialist.
Dr Hapangama has been an honorary lecturer at the Australian National University and is now teaching Medical Students at UNSW Rural Medical School in Wagga Wagga.
Dr Hapangama has been a visiting Specialist in Wagga Wagga Since 2009. In January 2012 Dr Hapangama and his family settled in Wagga Wagga opening The Riverina Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Centre at 6-8 Simmons St.
